Title:   Cut of Large Pit S Side of Room 9
Notebook:   1109
Context:   670
Date:   2015/05/05
Description:   The context shape in plan is irregular with oval top and triangular base. The top break of the cut is gradual. The sides of the cut are mixed: stepped then vertical. The break at the base of the cut is sharp. The base of the cut is tapered somewhat rounded point. Truncation: On the S. side the cut appears to be hindered by a couple of large rocks and becomes much narrower with a very sharp S. side.
Notes:   Cut in large pit at S. end of Room 9; the top section of the cut is oval and large. Initially the cut is very gradual on all sides, but just west of center there is a sharp triangular cut (somewhat gradual on the E. side) that culminated in a tapered somewhat rounded point. Two rocks on the S. side may have limited the cut.
