Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark brown. The soil compaction is loose. The soil is poorly sorted. It is clayey silt.
Notes:		743 is a layer of dark soil abutting the foundations for wall 20. Removing it is uncovering a pile of stones in the foundation trench. There is some debate whether this context continues to the north underneath unexcavated layers, or whether the cut for the foundation trench continues to cut it further down. We are now excavating the pile of stones in the middle of this context as another pass. This will be the last context dug in this trench. After excavating more, the workmen are convinced that the matrix continues underneath unexcavated layers to the north. There is a lot of rubble (tile, brick, angular spherical boulders. 02/06/2015 (L Kennedy): Animal bones: extremely mixed with oyster + terrestrial including Sus, sheep/goat, bird, 0.35 kg, all thrown.
