Stratum:		10% inclusions of large coarse stones, and tile and pottery ceramics
Description:		Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is light greyish grey. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is very poorly sorted. It is silty clay.
Notes:		After the excavation of the second floor we find a small patch on the western edge of the context. The edge of the patch is clearly defined by its softer clay and inclusions of large tiles and stone. We originally thought this patch was on top of the third floor, but excavation revealed that it went lower than the floor and finished 0.20m down at what appeared to be another cut. The are is very confusing! We think that the fill of this patch was the fill of an earlier pit truncated by cutt 55. We stop excavation after we come to a clearly defined harder cut. In the fill we find a piece of worked marble with linear decoration. Discovery of this deosit caused us to rethink our interpretation of context 56, which we now think should have been taken as two separate baskets. The pit of the current context would have extended over roughly the same are to the southwest where the other truncating pits were.
