Description:   Top slope of the context is level. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is very soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   11:40: After a long debate between myself, Kostas and Kennedy this context was opened. The main debate turned aroud if 813 is the backfill of a foundation trench of 811 (Kostas), or the remain filling of the pit into which the cut of the foundation trench of the wall was excavated (Kennedy). At first I agreed with this second interpretation due to the apparent continuation of this trench at the bottom of context 806, but I decided to excavate this first for two reasons: first reason is the apparent continuation of structure 811 below the visible layers of tile, which then required extra room for its disposition. Secondly, I also comsider that, if a mistake is made and the contexts are removed in the wrong order, the negative impact of this order will be smaller since it will be easier to link in the narrative 813 with 806 than ti redefine a foundation trench already excavated.
12:00: The composition of soil looks much more clean than 806, although it will be necessary to wait for the boundaries to address its relationship.
12:10: The progress of the excavation confirmed Kostas interpretation. This context is the fill of a foundation trench for the wall. Below the excavated area we find the same type of soil located at the bottom of 806. Excavation continues and the bottom of the context needs to be cleant, but it seems clear that what we have here is a foundation trench running parallel to the wall but that around the foundation of the threshold follows the line of the old pit. This trench was preserved in 813 because the line of the threshold is just 0.10 m from the edge of the pit. It appears deeper under 806 because perhaps 806 and the trench were disturbed by the robbing trench above structure 720 (check notes 806). This sequence will be only clarified when pottery and other finds are read.
