Notes:   Most of the stub wall was reveal in the excavation of structure 11 and its foundation trench. 0.08m of the west side of the wall exposed in the excvation of context 64 and fully in 82. the excavation of this structure happened on 17/4/14. It was removed to prepare for the excavation of entire surface exposed by the excavation of 15. This surface rests on top of a lower wall, and the evaluation of the relationship between this lower wall and the walls revealed over the excavation of the past few days is a goal of this session. A layer of dark clayey silt intervened between the bottom of the stone of the wall and the harder clay surface underneath. This clay seems to be the same as the yellowish clay that was found under the upper grayish surface of 101, and that melted into the rubble and masonry to the SW. Another context for this melted mud will be opened later. The matrix into which the foundation trench (context 15) for wall 11 was cut overlapped the stones of the stub wall 9, showing that this was part of an earlier structure. We associate this structure with the floor of 103 and 106 built on top of the destruction layers below. It's likely that stones were robbed out of 91 for the construction of wall 11.
