Description:   Top slope of the context is slight down to the W. The soil color is dark yellowish brown. The soil compaction is soft. The soil is well sorted. It is sandy silt.
Notes:   This context was a cleaning to better understand cut marks and reveal any additional cut marks. This pass essentially took out what was likely a subfloor underneath a tile floor, both of which remain in the SE corner of the church, on the S side of wall 930 (contexts 941, 942). This context included many weeds and plants, suggesting root bioturbation. It was also quite close to the surface exposed in the 1990 field season and thus was exposed to almost 30 years of weathering.
