There is some confusion in the BMC. No.95 (Lucius Verus) is described as holding as long scepter in r., with eagle at feet; the illustration (pl. 21.3) shows eagle but scepter is not visible. This is probably an example of the thunderbolt version, misdescribed in light of no. 97 (Caracalla), where Zeus holds long scepter, and no eagle.
