From central one rises spiral stem from top center; from either side a fluted cauliculus rises, from which spreads acanthus leaves. From each of these 2 tendrils spiraling so that two touch in center above spiral stem, one curls out to either side. Flaring low abacus above, in center of which a round boss with concentric circle. Carving flat and simple, with flat chisel, drill in lobes of acanthus leaves. Back smooth (?), bottom smooth. | Material: | | Fine white marble. | Condition: | | Complete or intact.
