Description:   Capital with concave, widely flaring echinus offsetfrom abacus by shallow step H00.007; profile of abacus varies: on one face is a broad concave channel with crowning fascia H00.023; on adjoiningside simply two steps H00.015 H00.038. Top surfaceroughly picked. Carved on echinus at corer is a smalldove, face downward, with wings gathered, legs foldedagainst body. For similar piece see A-XXXX-1063.
Material:   Grayish-white fine marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving one corner of top of capital with part of echinus, abacus.
