Description:   Capital with concave, widely flaring echinus offsetfrom abacus by shallow step H00.007; profile of abacus consists of 2 steps, profiles broken. Top surfaceroughly picked. Carved on echinus at corner is a smalldove, face downward, with wings gathered, legs foldedagainst body. For similar piece see A-XXXX-1062.
Material:   Coarse grayish-white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving one corner, with part of echinus, incomplete profile of abacus; belly, head of bird broken away.
