Description:   Block with single rope channel (W00.04 Depth00.01) running vertically up one end; its continuation missing so orientation uncertain. End roughly chisel-dressed, slightly concave in plan. One horizontal surface similarly-tooled, slightly concave in transverse section. On opposite side horizontal surface of timber cutting partly preserved + small part of one lateral wall of cutting (W00.18 Depth00.015. It ran full thickness of wall, carried transverse horizontal timber either at cornice level or base of wall. Face roughly chisel-dressed to 00.16 from end, for thin white stucco (T00.002) - small piece adhering; then a roughly vertical line where face more smoothly finished, MPW00.12. Stuccoed area bounded on top or bottom by smooth band but poorly preserved for certainty. Smooth portion prob. for timber, while transverse timber, whose lateral wall roughly coincised with vertical edge of smooth band, probably part of anchor for framework.
