Description:   Ionic capital with egg and dart and bead and reel moulding on abacus, egg and dart on echinus carved as running behind crisply-carved, 3-petalled palmette in corners of volutes, acanthus leaf with tear drop eyes along edges of foliage on side over bolster. Bottom surface worked with claw chisel; top worked smoothly except for band (W. 0.10) long face, that is worked with claw, deep drill holes in palmette
Writing:   inscribed. Nu inscribed on bottom
Material:   Fine-crystalled white marble with vertical foliation plane, crystals ca. 1 mm.
Condition:   Fragment. 1/3 front and side, full height, but missing most of both faces; one angle palmette and egg of echinus.
