Description:   Ionic corner capital of large scale; on face a: top of concave channel curving into volute at lt. Base of anthemion between volute and echinus; above channel, and following spiral of volute is a single row of bead and reel; on face b, parts of two channels of volute with single row of bead and reel following spiral; on V-shaped bolster between two volute faces laurel branch(?). Abacus carved with egg-dart with pointed egg, and dart a simple vertical. Top worked with point. From same structure as A-1998-4, A-1996-5. Related is A-1998-2.
Material:   Fine-crysrtalled white marble with micaceous veins.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving top of echinus on two sides, small part of volute, abacus on one face and corner.
