Description:   Base of Ionic column, preserving edge of plinth at bottom break, torus H00.052, fascia H00.013 set in 0.037 from face of torus, start of scotia. Curve of torus appears uniform. Surface lightly polished, flat chisel marks on underside of torus. Found with A-1999-1; cf. C-1999-3A-B for more of base.
Material:   Dense gray-white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving lower torus moulding and crowning fascia, broken below at juncture with plinth; preserves small part of circumference.
