Description: | Wall plaster with painted surface (Th.0.004) on thick mudbrick/pise substratum. Brushstrokes and toolmarks barely discernible in plaster surface. | |
Decoration: | Surface painted with dark red ground, on which is painted a section (torso?) of a figure draped in blue fabric, possibly a maenad. Body parts depicted in added white paint. A green vegetal motif runs behind the figure. All colors now heavily distorted by fire. Cf. A-1997-4 (Lepinski, S. Diss. Cat. 2.26). | |
Material: | Plaster layer over mudbrick substratum, with frequent medium to large black and brown pebble inclusions. | |
Condition: | Fragment. Single frgt., broken on all sides. Fire damage and heavy discoloration, especially visible on mudbrick substratum. | |
