Description:   Architrave-frieze block with crowning mouldings of architrave: cyma reversa, above which second moulding, fascia; frieze with convex profile in so far as preserved. Added join gives back part of architrave,uncarved crowning mouldings; uninscribed frieze mouldings.
Decoration:   Cyma reversa carved with egg-dart; above, tongue or strigil. Above, carved tongues or strigil.
Writing:   inscribed. Latin inscription on frieze: ]RE.F[ . Triangular interpunct between E and F. From same series as I-2795, I-2796, I-2608. 1965: added join gives: ]ILE[….]REF[.
Material:   Fine-crystal white marble.
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., broken all edges, preserving most of frieze, parts of crowning moulding of architrave. Jan. 7, 1965: added join, giving back of architrave-frieze, still broken all around.
