Description: | Cylindrical stone altar with flat bottom, horizontal convex moulding on upper edge (H. 0.044, W. 0.042), rising from side faces and curving back in at top, roughly circular in profile, and with a basin in top (Diam. 0.110 and depth of 0.040). Roughly carved. Ash on top. Similar to the form of TC altar MF1974-70 (Hesperia 1975 p.8 no.1) but without decoration. | |
