Description:   Protomaiolica bowl, carelessly thown low, ring foot with nippled undersurface. Nearly hemispherical body, turning in slightly to outward thickened rim, upper surface of which slopes down toward interior. Similar to C-1937-1790 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 819) and C-1934-682 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 836).
Decoration:   Interior: cockle shell in blue in center; in field short rows of yellow dots; 3 black lines below rim; curving black lines on rim. Exterior: graffito painted in black representing cross. Glaze has light greenish-blue tone, over interior and exterior of rim.
Material:   Fine pale gray-green-buff clay.
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining frgts., complete profile, foot, ca. 1.2 body and rim or less. RIP.
Period:   Frankish (1210-1458 AD)
