Description:   Horizontal foot (largely missing) with grooved ring resting surface, tall hollow stem offset from foot by shallow step and from body by widely flaring torus moulding and groove, with plastic grooved ring at mid height. Echinoid body, inset vertical rim with concave profile flaring to missing lip. Two horizontal loop handles, round in section attached to max. diam. of body. Agora XII P93-94.
Decoration:   Black-glazed over-all except grooves and interior of stem. Tondo decorated with inner circle of stamped ovules, middle cicle of alternately linked 9-leaf stamped palmettes, outer circle of rouletting. Agora XII, 30-31.
Material:   Fine pinkish-buff clay fired to gray over most of cup.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/3
Condition:   Fragment. Three joining frgts., preserving nearly complete profile, ca. 1/2 foot, 9/10 body, 1/2 rim; both handles broken off. Missing edges of rim and foot. Glaze and decoration chipping in some places.
