Description:   Corinthian figured Olpe with ovoid body tapering to raised necking ring at base of tall flaring neck, with broadly outturned rim.
Decoration:   Lower body, neck, rim and interior of mouth glazed. Both has three animal friezes, from top to bottom: I. grazing ram, to r., panther to l., head frontal; grazing quadruped. Bands of R-W-R, to frieze II: lion, to r., with arching tail; siren, to l. with spreading wings; grazing goat to r. R-W-R bands to frieze III: lion to r. with arching tail; grazing goat; lin to l. with raised tail; back leg of ruminant, to r.; gap; 2/3 drawn, hindquarters omitted for lack of space. Below, W-R-W lines, then glaze. Filling ornament: hasty large rosettes with incised centers and dots.
Material:   Buff Corinthian clay, black glaze, added purple, white.
Munsell Color:   Between 7.5YR 7/4 and 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from many frgts., preserving complete profile from lower body to rim; missing foot and bottom of body, ca. 2/3 rim, handle.
