Decoration: | No relief contour. Thick, sketchy relief line for interior markings. Dull, green-black glaze, fired chocolate in places, wearing thin. Miltos mostly worn off, no slip. Globular body with very little shoulder. Not tapering to base, moulded, vertical ring foot, joining underside of floor at almost right angle. At right, woman seated, legs right, facing left, leaning on her right hand on rock, left hand on knees. She wears chiton, her hair up in a bun. She faces a rock altar in center; another chitoned woman, the right 2/3 of whom are preserved, stands at left, facing altar and holding large alabastron over it with both hands. Reserved base line below them. | |
