Description:   Plate with low vertical foot, rounded resting surface and flat undersurface, shallow flaring body, thick round lip. Similar to C-1937-793 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 655)
Decoration:   Slip and pale yellow glaze on interior. Small circle in center, surrounded by three (four originally?) pointed ovals, connected, with floral spike between. Short strokes on lip.
Material:   Reddish-yellow clay with frequent small and medium rounded spherical and subrounded spherical and tabular gray and white inclusions. Frequent small to large angular platy and tabular and subrounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Complete profile. Single frgt., preserving approx. 2/3 of foot and 1/6 of body to lip.
Period:   Late Byzantine (1059-1210 AD)
