Description: | Oinochoe with ovoid body, nearly horizontal shoulder articulated from neck by faint plastic ring, wide neck, tapering to offset trefoil rim. (all frgts.) | |
Decoration: | Oinochoe had reserved zone with rays at base (I) with two animal friezes on body, and a third on the shoulder. A (+J,K): top of frieze II with back of animal, above which row of large dots; broad circumference band; frieze III on shoulder: panther to lt., complete except for part of muzzle, one hind leg, base of tail; tip of tail curling above very long sagging back; incised details; dense filling ornament of blobs with incised X and dots; neck and rim black glazed; glaze overlapping interior of neck to mid height. | |
