Description:   African Red Slip bowl Hayes form 8A with straight flaring wall and rounded, slightly outwardly thickened lip. Large convex moulding below rim. Similar to C-1972-225 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 116); C-1934-1703.
Decoration:   Red (10R 5/8) slip on interior and exterior. Large convex moulding below rim with four rows of rouletting, small ridge below. Two corresponding grooves on interior below lip.
Material:   Fine red fabric.
Munsell Color:   10R 5/6 (red)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving less than 1/4 rim
Period:   Early Roman (44BC-1/2 2nd c AD)
