Description:   Italian sigillata plate with flaring ring foot and horizontal bottom.
Decoration:   Red slip (10R 4/6) on interior and exterior. 2 grooves on floor. Stamp in center.
Writing:   stamp. Stamp in center of floor: OCTASA in planta pedis. Stamp clear. Similar to C-1965-10 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 84), C-1935-66, C-1936-141. Stamp of L. Octavius Salutaris (OCK n. 1317 type 2)
Material:   Fine light reddish brown fabric. Hard fired.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving 1/4 base. Slip and stamp well-preserved.
Period:   2nd c. A.C.
Chronology:   first half of 2nd c. CE, based on comparanda in Corinth 18.2 and stamp in OCK 1317.
