Description:   Locally made red slip bowl with vertical ring foot, convex flaring wall, very sharp outward flange, and vertical rim. Offset in interior profile matches the flange. Probably a combination of two shapes. Similar to Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 132; C-1933-435, C-1933-447; Rim similar to C-36-2439 (Hayes 1973, Hesperia 42, cat. 216).
Decoration:   Red slip (10R 4/6) on interior and exterior. Unevenly fired to dusky red (10R 3/4) and dark reddish gray (10R 3/1) on rim. Ridge above foot, groove below carination on exterior.
Material:   Very pale brown fabric with few small round voids and few small rounded dark gray inclusions.
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/2 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining frgts., preserving complete profile, 1/4 rim, entire base. Slip badly worn on interior and exterior.
Period:   2nd c. A.C.
