Description:   Bowl with flaring foot. Similar to C-1936-109 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 72).
Decoration:   Mottled green glaze all over, except lower part of foot. Cream slip or glaze on interior of foot. Impressed griffin in central medallion.
Material:   Pale brown clay with few small to large subrounded spherical and tabular gray inclusions, and few angular platy and subrounded tabular voids.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 7/3 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving complete foot and floor.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
