Description:   Juglet with flat bottom, ovoid body with max diam. below median, tapering to narrow neck with flaring profile to squared lip (in so far preserved). Vertical strap handle attached to neck and lip, and body above max diam. Similar to C-1934-337 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 52).
Decoration:   Brown glaze on exterior above max diam., paches of glaze on lower body and bottom. Single grooved line above max diam.
Material:   Red clay with frequent small to large subrounded tabular and spherical white and few small gray inclusions. Few angular tabular and rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   10R 5/8 (red)
Condition:   Complete profile. Two joining frgts., preserving nearly complete vessel; missing 1/2 rim.
Period:   Middle Byzantine (802-1058 AD)
