Decoration: | Pale pinkish-buff slip on interior and overlapping lip. On interior, central medallion with rectilinear split-palmette; narrow band of incised bars; below lip, band of degenerate sgraffito Kufic; splashes of green from lip to center. Grayish-yellow glaze inside and over lip. | |
Material: | Moderately coarse clay fired buff at surface, pale grayish-pink at core, with rare coarse white, red inclusions, more frequent tiny black, voids. | |
