Description:   Plate with flaring ring foot with concave profile, flat resting and undersurfaces. Straight flaring body rising at c. 30 degrees to offset straight flaring rim with squared lip; broad groove offsets rim on interior, finer groove by lip. Similar to C-1937-1867 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 89).
Decoration:   Impressed tondo, subject unclear, possibly leering face, with leaf-shaped (?) elements surrounding it. Incised wavy lines on rim. Yellow glaze with green splashes and broad brown streak on interior.
Material:   White clay fired pink at surface with moderate amount of red inclusions, voids.
Munsell Color:   Between 7.5YR 8/4 and 5YR 7/4
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., complete profile; complete foot, ca. 1/10 body, rim.
