Description:   Italian sigillate plate Conspectus form 3.2 with slightly concave bottom, flaring ring foot, convex wall, and everted rim. Similar to C-1970-365 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 74).
Decoration:   Groove on exterior at base of wall, groove below rim on exterior and interior. Low step where floor meets wall on interior. Two grooves on floor. Stamp in center.
Writing:   stamp. Stamp in center of bottom: ZOIL(I) in retrograde, in planta pedis. Stamp deeply pressed.
Material:   Fine light reddish brown fabric, hard fired.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Three joining frgts., preserving complete profile, less than 1/4 rim, entire base. Slip and stamp in good condition.
Period:   1 st c. A.C.
Chronology:   third quarter of 1st c. CE
