Description:   Bowl with low vertical ring foot pierced with single hole for suspension, flat resting and undersurfaces. Nearly hemispherical convex body with continuous convex curve, turning up vertically to outturned rim, turning down slightly to round lip. Possible paring marks on exterior of body surrounding foot; a few turning grooves visible on body.
Decoration:   White slip on interior and overlapping rim and upper body to 0.020 m. below rim. Incised through this, on interior: eagle, covering bowl with head, feet just below rim, in profile to lt. Lt. wing extended straight out to side, rt. wing partially folded. Solid eye surrounded by open circle, closed beak; double outline on neck, chest, single line of scales down either side of neck, 4 rows of scribbled scales on chest, more on belly, 2 tear-drops with filling on neck, breast. Feathers of wings, tail rendered by straight lines, feather and scribbles for rt. coverts, double cross-lines on lt. wing; wings end in curliques. Filler: floral spray with attached wing above lt. wing, floral spray below belly. Final glaze not applied.
Material:   Fine clay with moderate amount of fine black, fewer white, inclusions, some sparkling inclusions, rare voids.
Munsell Color:   Slightly pinker than 10YR 7/4
Condition:   Complete or intact. Four joining frgts., complete except for small hole in lower body. Slip flaking in places.
