Description:   Krater with vertical ring foot, rounded resting surface, slightly convex undersurface. Deep ovoid body with max. diam. at shoulder nearly straight flaring profile. Shoulder curves into vertical rim with round lip. Two horizontal band handles tilted slightly, on shoulder.
Decoration:   In red-brown glaze: Exterior of foot, lower third of body glazed with reserved stripe in middle; remainder of body striped to base of handles. Handle zone: in center, large rays -5- ending in spirals, flanked by butterfly pattern framed by 6 vertical lines to either side. Two lines above. On rim band of angular S's, two lines above, strokes arraigned in groups, on lip. On handles horizontal lines. Interior wholly glazed red.
Material:   Fine Corinthian clay fired pink at bottom and core.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6.5/5 to buff surface, 10YR 7.5/4
Condition:   Complete profile. Numerous joining frgts., complete profile, one handle; missing small frgts. in underside, body, over half rim, one handle. RIP
