Description:   Local two-handled cup with vertical ring foot, globular body, flanged rim, and two ovular strap handles with moldings. Stacking mark on lower part of body. Derived from Late Hellenistic type. Predeccessor to C-1973-253 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 140).
Decoration:   Thin red (2.5YR 5/6) slip on exterior, fired to dark reddish gray (2.5YR 3/1). Groove at widest point of wall, groove below flange, deep groove marking flange, groove below rim. Two blobs of clay added to handles (thumb rests?). Slip dripping into interior.
Material:   Pink fabric with large and small white and dark gray angular inclusions, frequent small round voids and medium tubular voids. Some larger lime inclusions have caused eruptions.
Munsell Color:   5YR 7/3 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., preserving complete profile, almost entire rim, 1/4 base, entire body, and both handles. Many chips missing from surface.
Period:   1 st c. A.C.
Chronology:   mid 1st c. CE, based on comparanda in Corinth 18.2
