Description:   Italian sigillata cup Conspectus form 22 with flaring ring foot, concave flaring wall, carination to vertical rim with rounded molding at bottom and top. Small applied spiral on rim. Similar to C-1964-444 (Slane 1990, Corinth 18.2, cat. 77).
Decoration:   Red slip (2.5YR 4/8) on interior and exterior. Small applied spiral on rim. Wide groove above foot, wheel lines on body, groove on body below carination, wide groove under carination, rounded molding on bottom and top of rim. Very light groove on interior below rim.
Material:   Fine light reddish brown fabric.
Munsell Color:   5YR 6/4 (light reddish brown)
Condition:   Fragment. Five joining frgts., preserving 1/2 rim. Slip in excellent condition.
Period:   1 st c. A.C.
Chronology:   mid to third quarter 1st c. CE, based on comparanda in Corinth 18.2
