Description:   Plate with ring foot, body rises at ca. 30 degrees inslightly convex curve to round lip with deep notches.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Interior, medallion with heraldically opposed peacocks of which tails and one pair of legs preserved, floral filler; narrow band of beads; on outer body broad band of double zigzag making diamonds, each filled with feathered spiral. Pale yellow glaze in, becoming clear out. For similar plate cf. C-1935-587 C-1936-0294. Morgan: by Zigzag Master.
Material:   Fine clay fired brown to gray with tiny white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Ca. between 7.5YR 6/4 and 5YR 6/5
Condition:   Fragment. Two joining frgts., complete body profile from foot break to lip, ca. 1/3 body, 1/6 lip.
