Description:   Small button base. Slightly concave lower wall flaring to carination from which vertical, slightly flaring upper body has been pinched in to form quatrefoil mouth. Very slightly everted rim with rounded lip. Vertical ring handle with rectangular section and central groove attaches to upper body below rim.
Decoration:   Green and brown painted. White slip all over. Pale green over-glaze inside, outside and on bottom of base. Vertical stripes of dark green and brown glaze applied to upper body inside and out. Stripes have run laterally and blurred when suspended from the handle in firing.
Material:   Fine fired pink (Munsell 7.5 YR 7/4). Smooth conchoidal break and laminar voids.

Condition:   Complete profile. Three frgts., preserving about 9/10 of vessel including base, handle and 4/5 body and rim. Completely restored in plaster.
