Description:   Large platter with heavy, high vertical ring foot, flat resting surface, flat undersurface. Wide-flaring shallow body rising at ca. 30 dgrees, then turning up somewhat more sharply to blunt oblique lip with nicks. Three mend holes in upper body. Morgan: C-1933-0699 from same plate.
Decoration:   White slip over all. Heavily incised decoration on interior, scene covering plate: in center, part of pleated skirt, rt. leg without foot of warrior facing front. Long pleated cloak hangs in a column to proper rt. To proper rt. of this lower half of male, running with lt. leg bent and lifted back, rt. hand holds sword across body, lt. holds round object (?) In field rich floral ornament. Yellow glaze over all, becoming clear on exterior.
Material:   Moderately fine clay fired reddish-brown out, gray-brown in, with scattered voids, fine white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   Near 2.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., complete profile except for center of floor, 1/5 circumference.
