Description:   Plate with low vertical ring foot, rounded resting surface, flat undersurface. Shallow wide-flaring body rising at ca. 15 degrees with rounded profile, round lip.
Decoration:   White slip over all, more thinly applied to exterior. Sgraffito dec. on interior: central medallion with 5 radiating spirals on imbricate ground, central compass point; 3 framing lines; plain band; broad band of degenerate Kufic on imbricate ground between double lines. Yellow glaze on interior, overlapping lip, with splashes on exterior. Incision coarse.
Material:   Coarse clay fired reddish brown to gray brown with coarse white inclusions

Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., 4/5 foot, ca. all floor, most of lower half body, 1/8 lip.
