Description:   Plate with vertical ring foot, flat resting surface, interior of foot cut in two steps to flat undersurface. Shallow echinoid body turning up to horizontal outturned rim.
Decoration:   Whihte slip over all, thinly applied to exterior. On interior, large incised medallion with pointed leaf and floral sprays. On rim, incised cross-hatching. Yellow glaze over all, becoming clear on exterior.
Writing:   graffito. Graffito on undersurface: N with cross-strokes ? or ligature of N X A ?
Material:   Well-compacted red clay with scattered coarse white inclusions.
Munsell Color:   2.5YR 5.5/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Five joining frgts., complete profile; complete foot, half body to rim, except for large wedge missing from body.
