Description:   Skyphos with low ring foot, wide flaring body with convex profile, curving in to low flaring rim. Two horizontal handles, round in section with ends turned out, at maximum diameter.
Decoration:   Foot, lower half body glazed. Hande zone reserved with panel divided into 3 parts: group of 8 vertical lines at either side, central section with horizontal hand filled with chevrons at top and 2 horizontal stripes below. 2 stripes on rim; groups of 8 short strokes inside rim. Handles: 2 horizontal bands with 3 groups of 8 vertical strokes between. DeVries: MG II
Material:   Light buff clay, dark reddish brown metallic glaze.
Condition:   Complete profile. Mended from several frgts., complete except for few body chips.
Dimensions Preserved:   H. 0.09, M.D. 0.164 m.
Period:   Middle Geometric (825-750)
