Description:   Bowl or plate (?) with low vertical ring foot, flat resting surface and undersurface. Shallow, wide flaring convex body.`
Decoration:   White slip inside; medallion with schematic bird with long striped neck, solid body, upright outlined feathers; floral spray or animal (?) dangling from beak; border of 2 circumference lines, then broad band of spiral and kufic motif. Yellow-green glaze over all. Similar to C-1934-827 (Morgan 1942, Corinth 11, cat. 592).
Material:   Moderately fine clay, fired largely light gray to buff at edges. with few rounded spherical and tabular white, red and gray inclusions. Common small and medium angular platy and rounded spherical voids.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 7/6 (reddish yellow)
Condition:   Fragment. Single frgt., preserving complete foot, lower half body.
