Description:   Large bowl with flaring ring foot, flat resting and undersurface. Echinoid body with vertical tapered lip.
Decoration:   white slip over all. Incised on floor: bird to rt., with round eye, hooked beak, scaley neck and breast, short wing with straight flight and tail feathers, long legs. In field ring of chevrons; outer border of alternating triangles, filled with scales. Clear to pale yellow glaze over interior, and lip.
Material:   Moderately fine buff clay with numerous tiny white inclusions, some coarser, voids.

Condition:   Complete profile. Twelve joining frgts., complete foot, profile; 3/5 body to lip; chips in lip, glaze chipped.
