Description:   Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with molded exterior in two degrees; wide lower with straight sloping sides ending in beveled edge, upper a high, narrow ring around the stem. Medium-high conical stem attached to foot by curve. Medium-wide body with round and convex lower and slightly concave upper, flaring out to a wide, tapered lip. Vertical strap handle with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body.
Decoration:   West Slope style with two sets of horizontal groove bands, a double below lower and a single below upper handle attachments. Inscribed string of necklace with ribbon dangling from ends on both sides. Black glaze all over. Traces of added white paint decorating beads of necklaces.
Material:   Fine pink clay with rare fine to small black, white, and sparkling inclusions.
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/4 (pink)
Condition:   Complete profile. 3 joining frgts., preserving foot, stem, 1/2 body, almost 1/2 lip, 1 handle. Black glaze well preserved.
