Description:   Articulated kantharos with flaring ring foot. Bevelled resting surface. Concave undersurface with sharp nipple in center. Exterior of foot has profile wheel grooved in two degrees. Biconical body with rounded carination set at approx. two-thirds the height of the body. Lower walls straight. Upper walls are inclined with compound curve moving from convex to concave. Rounded and straight lip. Two vertical strap spur handles with rectangular strap thumbrests attaching just below lip and at mid upper body.
Decoration:   Black glaze over all. One scraped groove at bottom of handle zone and one scraped groove just below lip, both interrupted by handles. Side A: necklace with scraped groove string.
Material:   fine pink clay with few fine to small black inclusions with rare large red inclusions
Munsell Color:   7.5YR 8/3 pink
Condition:   Complete profile. Several frgts., preserving three-fourths of foot, one-third of body, one-fourth of lip, and one handle. RIP. Surface has black glaze partly worn.
