Description: | Cyma kantharos with stem foot, flat resting surface and conical undersurface, with moulded exterior in two degrees; wide lower with straight sloping side ending in beveled edge, upper high, narrow step rising from lower. Short conical stem articulated from foot by angle. Tall body with convex lower and concave upper flaring out to everted tapered lip. Two vertical strap handles with rectangular thumb rest attaching to just below lip and upper body. | |
Decoration: | West Slope style with single horizontal groove step at level between handle attachments. Black glaze all over. | |
Material: | Fine pink clay with rare, fine black, red, and sparkling inclusions. | |
