Description:   Button base. Ovoid body curving continuously up to slightly everted rim with rounded lip. Vertical double ring handle attaches to upper body below rim.
Decoration:   Green and brown painted. Chalk white slip covered by a very pale green glaze all over. Added stripes of dark green and dark brown radiating from the centre inside and painted in loops on upper body outside. Stripes run laterally in places where stacked in kiln.
Material:   No breaks-surface description only. White to very pale brown (10 YR 8/2 to 8/3) with 3% inclusions including medium to large, subrounded spherical to tabular white and red quartz.
Munsell Color:   10 YR 8/2 to 8/3
Condition:   Complete profile. Six frgts., preserve about 9/10 of vessel including the base, 5/6 of the body and rim and the handle. Completely restored with plaster.
