Writing:   stamp. Rectangular stamp on handle top: [ΕΠΙ ΤΙΜ]AKLE{ΥC} / [ΚΝΙΔΙ N]Ι with dot under I KASI / ΓΕΝΕΥ]C anchor pointing right (V. Grace’s Knidian Type [KT] 1078). The eponym Timakles falls early in V. Grace’s period IV A (188-167 B.C.).
Material:   Fine, light, brownish red clay with rare, small to medium, dark red and white inclusions and rare, minute, sparkling inclusions.
