Description:   Deep skyphos with baggy hemispherical body. Carefuly turned ring foot has flat resting surface, torus moulding on exterior. Lower body nearly horizontal, curving to vertical wall and lip. Lip inward thickened, almond-shaped. On exterior, 2 pair of grooves as setting marks for vertical handles. 2 broad strap handles, C-shaped in section, with ivy thumb rest at outer edge of top.
Decoration:   Totally slipped except for foot, slip mottled light red and reddish yellow on exterior, light red on interior.
Material:   Finely gritty light brown clay with abundant tiny white and micaceous inclusions, fired reddish yellow at surfaces.
Munsell Color:   Clay: 7.5YR 6/4 5YR 7/6 ; Slip: exterior, 2.5YR 6/6 5YR 6/6 7.5YR 7/6 ; interior, 2.5YR 6/6
Condition:   Complete profile. Four joining frgts., complete profile, complete foot and one side with handle, most of rim and one handle missing.
