Description:   Flat horizontal lid with wide groove near outer edge, ending in rounded lip; high domed center with rounded knob narrowing in stem in center; no flange. Interior and exterior covered with thin wheel grooves.
Decoration:   Two added-purple (over black) bands near edge on either side of wide groove; black circle around juncture of domed knob and lid; X-pattern of pairs of added-purple lines from knob to lid; top of knob originally glazed.
Material:   Fine very pale brown clay with rare medium white and dark inclusions
Munsell Color:   10YR 8/4 (very pale brown)
Condition:   Complete profile. Several joining fragments; less than half preserved.
